Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to stay indoors and how long does it take?

It takes up to a couple of hours to eradicate mould. You must not be indoors during the mould removal, we use strong industrial alkalis, we use masks, you must ventilate the room for at least an hour after you return, you may smell the odour for up to three days, but you can safely stay indoors and there will be no health risk

Specialised knowledge and experience is required to identify and eradicate mould growth. You can only remove surface mould, but you cannot remove moisture and spores on all surfaces of the room/cellar.

Often mould fungus is deeply penetrated because people do not eradicate it in time, so you cannot see it with the naked eye. We use highly effective techniques and special chemistry to eradicate any mould.

Mould colonies form in damp, unventilated, warm rooms. In many cases, dew point formation occurs in areas where cold and warm temperatures collide, due to significant temperature differences or changes – thus creating a dew point due to an existing cold bridge.

Mould that is exposed to the right conditions germinates within a few hours and quickly grows a new mould colony. If mould has started to form on a wall after replacing the windows with new plastic ones, the room’s ventilation system may be compromised.

Quality windows provide airtightness and good thermal insulation, which should not lead to black mould on the wall.

Particularly dangerous to human health are the toxic substances synthesised by moulds as they grow – mycotoxins, which are inhaled by humans when they are suspended in the air, and ingested by humans when they are deposited on food (fungal spores, debris). This is how humans and environmental moulds interact on a regular basis, causing serious health problems.

Moulds have long been recognised as potential allergens. The protein substances they contain can cause adverse reactions in the body, such as inflammatory processes in the respiratory tract, allergies, asthma, and the mycotoxins, which are a group of mycotoxins, belong to the group of the most powerful naturally occurring carcinogenic substances. The health damage is therefore quite severe.

Mould can become embedded in plasterboard and many other polymeric materials of natural and synthetic origin used in the construction and decoration of homes. It easily destroys paint coatings, and concrete slabs damaged by the fungus decompose within a couple of years.

In recent years, eco-insulating insulation has become widely used in Lithuania. It is made from waste paper, which is rich in cellulose. The raw material for this product is heavily contaminated with mould spores and debris in outdoor conditions, so that even new-build houses can be left in a state of emergency if mould is not eradicated, and there is nothing that can be done to help the apartment.

Any material without biocidal protection can be destroyed by mould. The fungus grows at a catastrophic rate, especially in buildings made of soft wood. The wood darkens, cracks and decomposes. Mould can also spread rapidly in the bathroom, in the shower cubicle, on damp walls in the home and anywhere else there is more than normal humidity.

Forget mould damage for good!
